Job summary

Baker Tilly WM is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Surrey, BC team. You will manage the full accounting cycle, support financial reporting, and ensure tax and payroll compliance across multiple entities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

You will work closely with operational leaders, participate in forecasting, and collaborate with the external auditor for year-end activities. A CPA or near designation is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Experience with ERP systems (D365 or Pronto preferred).
  • Knowledge of Canadian GST/PST tax compliance.
  • Experience with Dayforce/Powerpay payroll systems preferred.
  • CPA designation or nearing designation advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end close.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports and forecasts.
  • Ensure GST/PST and payroll compliance.
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on day-to-day operations.
  • Support payroll processing and month-end close activities.
  • Work with the external auditor to support the year-end audit process.
  • Meet tight deadlines and reporting requirements across global entities.

Job description

We are conducting a search on behalf of two leading businesses within a global industrial group, for an Accountant to join their team in Surrey, BC. Employed by PROK and supporting the ALPINE operation, this unique opportunity offers meaningful work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a supportive team, strong leadership and a collaborative workplace culture.

As an experienced Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with tax and payroll requirements. You’ll work closely with operational and financial leaders across the organization, contributing to accurate forecasting and reporting across multiple time zones.

Your Role:
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end close.
