The Role :

This position plays a vital role in the accounting close process, with opportunities to contribute to various projects as we scale. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively within an international accounting team, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Managing global operations and month-end close tasks for entities in the US, Canada, and Australia, ensuring compliance with IFRS / Local GAAP, including fixed assets, accruals, payroll, headcount, and allocations.
  • Owning lease accounting in accordance with IFRS16.
  • Preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, schedules, and analyses.
  • Reviewing global expense transactions and employee expense reports, assisting with the expense management system (Expensify).
  • Supporting weekly AP reviews and vendor invoice coding.
  • Conducting monthly trending analysis of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.
  • Optimizing systems and procedures to improve processes.
  • Participating in year-end audits and tax preparations.
  • Performing ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.

What We're Looking For :

  • At least 4 years of corporate or public accounting experience.
  • CPA qualified or pursuing CPA certification.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and familiarity with authoritative literature.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and MS Office.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with expense report systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and understanding of financial controls.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and solve problems proactively.
