We are looking for an Accountant to join BrokerLink and work out of our Calgary, AB office on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

What the Role Entails:

  1. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and other reporting requirements.
  2. Support the Financial Reporting team during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes.
  3. Reconcile various balance sheet accounts, including bank, payroll, capital assets, bonus, and other sub-ledger accounts.
  4. Work on preliminary and final purchase price calculations for new acquisitions and prepare purchase journal entries.
  5. Review opening and final acquisition balances, monthly movements, and final reconciliations for various acquisitions.
  6. Prepare regulatory and government reports (RIBO, GST/HST, sales taxes, quarterly surveys, etc.)
  7. Complete other tasks as assigned and participate in ad-hoc reporting and accounting projects as required.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Diploma or Degree in accounting or finance
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in full-cycle accounting and financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with others and assist team members
