Our client is looking for an Accountant to work in their office in Surrey. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment and grow your career.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and publishing 8-week rolling weekly cash flow forecast
• Assisting, when required, with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports (financials statements and budget)
• Analyzing financial reports and records and provide variance analysis when requested
• Calculating, reviewing, and posting period closing journal entries (owning the month-end, quarter-end, year-end process until FS preparation)
• Preparing working papers for regulatory filings (GST/HST & PST) for Senior Accountant review
• Perform variance analyses and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
• Owning the Accounts Payable function (excluding outbound freight related AP invoices)
• Coordinate and prepare all intermediate-level banking activity (ACH/Wire/Bill Payments, intercompany transfers, reviewing transactions for accuracy)
• Overseeing and assisting, during the busy season, with the accounts receivable function
• Assisting the senior accountant with financial and tax audits
• Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team
• Producing ad-hoc reports as requested

Qualifications:

• Able to work independently
• Grasp concepts easily
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Intermediate level of Excel
• ERP/CRM experience
• Full cycle accounting experience

This is an in office position offering a base salary of $55K - $65K, depending on experience. They offer Health Benefits and vacation days.
