Job Title: General Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and monthly journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditors
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus
