Job description

Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canada's last-major brewer still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been operated by the Oland family since it was established in 1867.

We are currently recruiting internally for an Accountant to join our Finance team in the Saint John, NB office location. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare various monthly journal entries
  • Complete monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with internal and external financial reporting
  • Assisting with year-end audit
  • Work with team members on fiscal budgets

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed post-secondary education in Business/Finance
  • Enrolled (or planning to enroll) in CPA program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting and/or finance experience is an asset
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager
  • Organizational skills with detail-oriented focus
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines and to multi-task
  • Ability to demonstrate how you work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
  • ERP experience is an asset
