We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our dynamic team.*Position Overview*The Intermediate Accountant role supports the financial operations of Two Sisters Vineyards and it's group of companies by managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining compliance with industry and tax regulations, and assisting with budgeting and cost accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management and cost accounting practices specific to wine production and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.*Key Responsibilities** Conduct daily audits of sales, journal entries, and account balances.* Maintain data entry processes in ERP or accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, MarginEdge, or Microsoft Excel).* Assist in Accounts Payable processes.* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.* Ensure compliance with ASPE and applicable tax laws.* Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.* Prepare and file various government and industry reports, including:* HST filings and reconciliations* LCBO and VQA submissions* Wine and excise tax remittances* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and optimize operational performance.* Assist with inventory tracking, production costs, and COGS to ensure accurate financial reporting and margin optimization.* Drive continuous process improvement to enhance financial processes and workflow efficiency.* Perform other duties as required to support the finance team and organizational goals.*Skills & Requirements** 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.* Industry experience in wineries, agriculture, beverage production, or CPG is a strong asset.* Strong understanding of ASPE, tax filings, and inventory accounting.* Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP software, ability to learn new systems effectively.* CPA designation (or in progress) is an asset.*Core Competencies** Analytical Thinking* Attention to Detail* Problem-Solving* Communication* Business Acumen* Time Management* AdaptabilityJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:* Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:* Accounting: 3 years (preferred)Work Location: In person
