POSITION : Accountant

STATUS : Permanent – Full-time

REPORTS TO : Corporate Controller

POSITION OVERVIEW :

We are seeking a efficient, detail-oriented, and collaborative Accountant to join our Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role will manage all aspects of the full accounting lifecycle, ensure accurate financial reporting, and handle regulatory filings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Reconcile bank accounts and cash positions regularly.
  • Prepare and file periodic government sales tax returns for various legal entities.
  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
  • Handle client payments (cheques, bank wires), aging, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely transaction recording.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closings, ensuring proper posting and balances.
  • Assist in payroll preparation, ensuring accurate calculations, timely payments, and proper ledger recording.
  • Maintain organized filing for all legal entities’ documents.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Generate financial reports and analyses for senior management and stakeholders as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • College or bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Experience working within a multi-company structure.
  • Team and service-oriented mindset.
  • Organized and attentive to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is an asset.
