We are looking for an Accountant to join BrokerLink and work out of our Calgary, AB office on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and other reporting requirements
  • Support the Financial Reporting team during month, quarter, and year-end processes
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts including bank, payroll, capital assets, bonus, and other sub-ledger accounts
  • Work on preliminary and final purchase price calculations for new acquisitions and prepare purchase journal entries
  • Review opening and final acquisition balances, monthly movements, and final reconciliations for various acquisitions
  • Prepare various regulatory and government reports (RIBO, GST/HST, sales taxes, quarterly surveys, etc.)
  • Complete other tasks as assigned and participate in ad-hoc reporting and accounting projects as required

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Diploma or Degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in full-cycle accounting and financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with others and assist team members
