Job summary

FYihealth group is seeking an Accountant for our Delta, BC manufacturing facility. You will support month-end close for the manufacturing division, work with the Accounting Manager, and help drive process improvements while developing your CPA path.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with NetSuite. A college diploma or university degree is required, and candidates located in Delta BC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a College Diploma and/or University Degree in a related field.
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience, including experience working with and analyzing large data sets.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile monthly sales order reports, ensure timely invoicing of shipped orders, and process additional sales discounts.
• Perform month-end accounting procedures, including general ledger analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Process full-cycle accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, deposits and reconciliations.
• Follow-up on outstanding issues with clinics and provide guidance as needed.
• Analyze monthly accounts and reconcile to various company systems.
• Prepare and post intercompany transactions, ensuring pricing accuracy.
• Support inventory counts and procedures development.
• Help improve internal reporting and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in special/ad hoc projects and other duties as needed.

Join our team as an Accountant! We are seeking a full-time dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant for our manufacturing facility located in Delta, BC. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support the day-to-day financial operations within the manufacturing division of FYihealth Group, including the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close. This is a great opportunity for a driven CPA candidate who loves to learn and wants to grow their career.

We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Delta BC, where our Ophthalmic Laboratory is located.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and reconcile monthly sales order reports, ensure timely invoicing of shipped orders, and process additional sales discounts
• Perform month-end accounting procedures, including general ledger account analysis, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting working papers
• Process full-cycle accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, bank deposits, and reconciliations
• Follow-up on outstanding issues and inquiries with clinics, providing guidance and assistance as required
• Analyze monthly accounts and reconcile to various systems used within the company
• Prepare, reconcile, and post intercompany transactions, ensuring maintenance and accuracy in pricing
• Support the development and implementation of inventory counts and procedures
• Implement and look to continually improve standard operating procedures and processes and assist in creating and improving internal reporting
• Assist in the completion of special projects and/or ad hoc projects
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals

What You Bring

• Completion of a College Diploma and/or University Degree in a related field
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience, including experience working with and analyzing large data sets
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with ERP systems particularly NetSuite is considered an asset
