Job description

Aon is seeking an Account Specialist, hybrid in Bannockburn, IL!

This role supports Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts. Responsibilities include managing key client processes, handling client-facing activities, and assisting Brokers, especially on Commercial Risk business.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Maintain effective relationships with clients.
  2. Support renewal processes, client invoicing, auto ID requests, surplus lines, and account discrepancies.
  3. Draft quote comparisons and follow up on binders, policies, and endorsements.
  4. Seek assistance on complex transactions.
  5. Ensure accuracy of system records (Bridge & Broker Desktop).
  6. Manage client open items and respond to requests.
  7. Coordinate with Aon Client Services (ACS) and PASC on client administration.
  8. Serve as a liaison for client items like certificates, auto IDs, invoices, and policy transmittals.
  9. Align work with Aon Leadership Model and operational excellence standards.
Qualifications
  1. Early career, 1-3 years in commercial insurance or a relevant college degree.
  2. Insurance broker license or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  3. Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma with experience considered.
  4. Effective communication skills.
  5. Understanding of operational processes.
  6. Strong Excel and Word skills, with some V-look up experience a plus.
  7. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits
