Job summary

Canada Life is seeking an Account Manager in Ottawa to partner with brokers and drive quotes, renewals, and amendments for group benefit clients.

You will maintain advisor relationships, manage the end-to-end sales process, and develop plans to hit annual targets while collaborating with consultants, plan sponsors, and client teams. A strong background in benefits, pricing, and negotiations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in group benefits/insurance and/or group life insurance, healthcare insurance, disability insurance, underwriting.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to act quickly and put forward innovative solutions.
• Proven negotiation and public speaking skills.
• Strong sales and interpersonal skills as well as motivation to achieve business objectives.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle, and flexibility to travel.

• Designation of C.A.A.S. [certified group benefits advisor], GBA (Group Benefits Associate), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a significant asset
• Undergraduate diploma or equivalent experience

The base salary for this position is between $52,500 - $87,500 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
