Job summary

As an Account Manager on the Customer Success team, you will own a portfolio of Dash Social's existing mid-market customers, guiding them from platform adoption through to long-term success. Focused on driving gross retention and identifying expansion opportunities, you'll build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, proactively support customer goals, and ensure continued value from our platform. Partnering closely with the broader Customer Success team, you'll deliver a seamless and strategic customer experience that supports retention, satisfaction, and sustained revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Retention & Customer Success

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and ongoing value through proactive engagement.
  • Negotiate contracts, review terms and conditions, propose pricing within package guidelines, and manage approvals in partnership with legal counsel.
  • Monitor account health and platform usage to identify risks and opportunities, delivering relevant content and product updates to drive continued adoption.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, keeping accurate account maps.

Expansion & Growth

  • Uncover opportunities for upsell and expansion by providing strategic insights and clearly articulating platform value to customer stakeholders.
  • Navigate complex buying cycles involving both business and technical decision-makers, collaborating internally to drive results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with platform specialists to deliver tailored product training and ensure customer enablement across essential features.
  • Stay current on product capabilities, supporting materials, and industry trends to bring a competitive edge to your conversations.
  • Share customer feedback and competitor insights with internal teams to influence product strategy and go-to-market messaging.

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales representative and/or account manager, with an ability to effectively adapt to a fast pace, rapidly changing industry and company. We require exceptional communication skills in order to build and maintain the trust of our existing customers.

  • 3-4 years of experience in account management, customer success, or sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding retention and growth targets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Motivated by personal growth, a team-first attitude, and a willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done.
  • Confident running both virtual and in-person customer engagements.
  • A degree in business is a strong asset.
