Position Overview

The Retail Account Manager builds and maintains customer relationships, drives revenue growth, and generates sales from new and existing clients. We seek a highly organized, proactive, self-starting, growth-oriented, and sales-driven individual. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop within a fast-paced B2B distribution environment, passionate about pursuing new opportunities and relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the primary contact for medium to large customers; experience in hardware and safety markets is a plus.
  2. Maintain and grow relationships within the retail safety market, focusing on growth.
  3. Understand customer business goals and challenges to provide tailored solutions that promote mutual success.
  4. Develop and manage sales plans and budgets, prioritize activities, and organize efforts based on potential value and desired outcomes.
  5. Analyze category and SKU performance using data and metrics to maximize market share, sales, and profits; coordinate with supply chain, customer service, and product management for seamless execution.
  6. Maintain CRM data and track key account activities.
Qualifications & Skills
  1. Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience managing accounts.
  3. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Experience with retailer systems such as Retail Link, HD Supplier Hub, SPS Commerce, CTC, etc.
  5. Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills.
  6. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Negotiation skills and contract experience.
  8. Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.
