Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, Ontario / West, the incumbent’s primary responsibilities will include:
- Promoting and selling the Olymel product line under the national brand and regional/national chain private labels;
- Supporting the director in implementing the channel strategy;
- Being the expert on innovations, cost efficiency, and opportunities;
- Applying creativity and strategic thinking to maximize opportunities and profitability with customers;
- Building business and sales plans (volume, profitability, product opportunities, promotional plans) for each customer with sales targets by product category;
- Managing and communicating current market studies by product and category, defining opportunities for each customer;
- Negotiating agreements with key customers for national brands and/or private labels, understanding the company's challenges and strategic orientations;
- Monitoring budgets allocated to the account manager;
- Conducting monthly or quarterly sales reviews, tracking each customer's sales performance, and developing action plans to correct anomalies or stimulate sales;
- Building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with customers to understand their strategic business orientations;
- Maintaining constant internal communication to manage regional daily operations;
- Overseeing the performance of categories and products for each customer based on results and strategies;
- Collaborating with production, logistics, and forecasting teams to ensure excellent customer service;
- Attending food shows, product training, and cuttings as needed to support the distribution team;
- Participating in end-user business reviews for priority A customers;
- Working collaboratively with other business sectors to maximize market opportunities and profitability.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent;
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets;
- At least 5 years of experience in sales or key account management;
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills at all organizational levels;
- Strong communication, time, and priority management skills;
- Excellent analytical and financial skills for quick, informed decision-making;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Dynamic, energetic, and a team player;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good business relations with customers.
