Account Manager, Ontario Region
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Sales.
Reporting to the District Manager, Ontario Sales, this role will contribute to the growth efforts within the Ontario Region. Join our team and apply your industry knowledge to help our customers solve business challenges with Esri products and solutions. An energetic and driven professional is needed to prospect business development activities and focus on selling solutions including software, services, and training, primarily focused on the Municipal Government market in Ontario.
This role will be remote, based in Ontario.

A Day in the Life of an Account Manager at Esri Canada:
- Execute account management strategies designed to facilitate the implementation of business relevant solutions within a portfolio of targeted accounts.
- Develop and drive new accounts and expand existing accounts by selling software, services, enterprise agreements and protecting maintenance.
- Work closely with the Region’s consulting practice to respond to RFP’s and ensure successful implementations of our technology
- Leverage industry knowledge and customer relationships to understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
- Build and advance relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment.
- Collect and analyze data to learn more about customers business needs and priorities.
- Manage accurate and timely upkeep of Account and Opportunity related information in Salesforce to provide a monthly sales forecast and to project opportunities to year end.
- Maintain knowledge of company and key partner solutions including professional services offerings.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel at all levels always representing the company in a professional manner
- Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by helping to improve processes.
- Continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Regional Director and District Manager in a timely and professional manner.
What you bring to the team:
- University Degree or College Diploma
- Minimum 5 years experience working with municipal governments in a sales, consulting or operations
- Sound understanding in the use of GIS in municipalities
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all teams involved in delivering customer success
- Must be able to travel locally to meet with the customers as required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including excellent active listening skills
- Proven track record utilizing a Customer Centric Sales Methodology
- Excellent presentation skills
- Resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and well organized with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Sound understanding in the use of GIS
