Account Manager

We are seeking a new team member to join our established practice. This in-office role focuses on processing and client management, not business development.

Responsibilities
  • Service Clients that are Provided to you
  • Assess Clients’ Financial Situations, including Credit History, Assets, and Income, to Understand their needs and Determine Appropriate Mortgage Options
  • Compare Loan Products and Negotiate with Lenders to Secure the most Suitable Mortgage Rates, Terms, and Conditions
  • Guide Clients through the Application Process and Collect all necessary Financial Documentation
  • Prepare and Submit Mortgage Applications on behalf of Clients to Lenders
  • Build and Maintain Strong, Professional Relationships with Clients and Lenders
  • Ensure Loan Processes and Documentation Comply with Legislation and the Standards of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA)
  • Update Clients throughout the Process and Assist with Post-closing Procedures to Ensure a Smooth Transaction
Requirements
  • Experience in the Mortgage Lending Industry
  • Hold a Valid Mortgage Associate License, or be Willing to Obtain (Employer Paid)
  • Strong Understanding of Mortgage Products (fixed vs. variable rates, etc.), and the Mortgage Process
  • Exceptional Communication Skills, with quick Turn Around Time when Communicating with Clients and Lenders
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills with the Ability to Effectively Advise Clients and Negotiate with Lenders
  • Attention to Detail to Ensure Accuracy in Documentation and Prevent Discrepancies
  • Ability to work Independently and take Initiative to Manage your Time and Client Relationships
  • Strong Computer and Keyboarding Skills including with knowledge of Google Docs and ability to learn Industry Specific Software
We Offer
  • 40 Hour Work Week; Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • Guaranteed $52 625 annually to start, with a per file amount paid after the threshold is met; significantly higher earning potential as you become more experienced or if you start with more experience
