Account Manager – Logistics (3PL)
Surrey, BC

Lock Search Group is partnering with a leading local 3PL provider seeking to expand their Surrey-based team with a new Account Manager. This office-based role is focused on driving new business, expanding service lanes, and uncovering opportunities within an already strong client portfolio. The bulk of your day will involve direct communication with existing and potential clients, so freight knowledge and excellent communication skills is a must.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure profitable new business opportunities within your territory. Success in this role will depend on your ability to make strategic cold calls, assess client needs, build lasting relationships, and effectively manage priorities to meet and exceed sales targets. If you have a few years of sales experience (ideally in supply chain or logistics) this could be an excellent next step in your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily cold calls to identify new sales opportunities and generate leads.
  • Build, track, and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Independently drive new sales while achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Confidently engage and negotiate with contacts at all levels, including leadership.
  • While primarily a hunting role, retention and relationship management of existing clients are also key.
  • Leverage both traditional and digital tools to connect with prospects and current customers.
  • Prepare customer quotes based on profiles, shipment history, and internal pricing resources.
  • Work closely with internal teams on pricing, strategy, and administrative needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates in Salesforce daily.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, or supply chain. Other industry sales experience will be considered.
  • Must have strong communications and be comfortable interacting with customers over the phone & email.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process with a proven ability to generate revenue and retain customers.
  • Ability to quickly create opportunities through phone outreach and client engagement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • Resilient, competitive, and confident in making cold calls.
  • Quick thinking with strong adaptability to client needs.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and stay focused in a busy setting.
