Better business bankers have a strong background in business and finance and demonstrate good judgment in people, businesses and markets.
Working as a member of the National Real Estate Group within Business Banking, the Account Manager is the face of the Bank in the market they serve.
The Account Manager is responsible for both credit and non-credit services, and their portfolio usually includes some non-borrowing clients. This position is supported by the Senior Manager Commercial Services who provides ongoing credit and sales management expertise.
The Real Estate Account Manager acts as a trusted advisor who structures practical and competitive solutions that address the client's financing, cash management and business support needs with sensitivity to their operating environment.
The Account Manager structures credits, conducts due diligence, establishes pricing and terms of credit, and produces ongoing credit reviews and risk ratings that reflect knowledge of Bank policies and procedures. In business development, the Account Manager continuously develops and broadens relationships with existing customers by cross-selling relevant financial products and services and builds new relationships through referrals and external sources. The role also includes cultivating relationships with key external referral sources and participating in industry and community activities.
In addition to your undergraduate degree in business or relevant professional designation, you ideally have a minimum of one year of experience as a Real Estate Account Manager. Alternatively, you may have experience in another profession that supports the needs of business and are looking for an opportunity to add value from a different perspective. You have well developed analytical, relationship management and business development skills and look forward to developing them further in this role.
