Quadra Group in the Greater Toronto Region is seeking an Account Manager to lead Health & Personal Care sales across Ontario and Manitoba. You will manage a defined territory, travel regularly, and drive growth with key customers.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you bring 5+ years of B2B sales in supplements/pharmaceutical ingredients, a technical background, and a proven ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and develop strategic plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biological Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven B2B sales in supplements/nutraceutical ingredients.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Ontario region.
  • Grow customer base and maintain relationships with current accounts.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to support customers.
  • Travel within Ontario and occasional trips to Manitoba.

Join our Ontario team as we seek a vibrant, authentic, and driven Account Manager. Your territory will be in Ontario with occasional travel to Manitoba.

Reporting to our Sales Manager – Health & Personal Care, the ideal candidate will bring a strong sales experience with a technical background, to maintain and develop an established territory. The role involves traveling regularly within the assigned region and promoting Quadra's products and services. This includes the development and implementation of a team-based strategic sales plan based on a solid understanding of industry trends and customer needs.

Here Are The Main Responsibilities Of Our Account Managers
  • Sales Development and Customer Retention: Proactively grow sales within the Supplement & Pharmaceutical industry by identifying and securing opportunities with new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts
  • Account Management: Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key customers, adhering to Quadra's core values and strategic vision to drive long-term partnership success.
  • Sales and Margin Objectives: Consistently meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals through effective territory management and customer engagement strategies.
  • Leverage Resources: Employ both internal and external resources to enhance Quadra’s reputation for superior service and technical excellence in the Supplement & Pharmaceutical space.
  • Product Sales and Promotion: Promote and sell Quadra’s high-quality product portfolio tailored to the Health industry, engaging customers through site visits, joint calls, and participation in industry-specific events and forums.
  • Technical Troubleshooting and Optimization: Assist customers in resolving technical challenges and identifying optimization opportunities, ensuring their operations align with industry best practices and maximize efficiency.
  • Organizational and Multitasking Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities to effectively manage complex schedules and priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong presentation and written communication skills to convey technical and sales information effectively.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, addressing challenges with agility and resilience.
  • Emergency Response: Manage critical timelines and handle after-hours emergencies to support customer needs.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Identify key decision-makers, assess their requirements, and align solutions with their goals.
  • Contract Negotiation and Closure: Facilitate new business deals by coordinating customer requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless contract integration.
  • Relationship Building: Build and sustain meaningful relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to drive repeat business and unlock new sales opportunities.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively engage in cold calling and other lead-generation activities to expand the customer base.
  • Reporting and Scheduling: Provide consistent, detailed weekly reporting on activities and maintain a structured approach to scheduling.

What qualifications and previous experience are required to be successful in this role?
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biological Sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience within the Supplements/Nutraceutical ingredients industry
  • Proven technical sales within the Supplements/Pharmaceutical ingredients industry.
  • Possess a strong background in business-to-business (B2B) sales within a distribution or manufacturing company
  • Excellent ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment while managing tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently and proactively are critical for managing multiple tasks, identifying opportunities, and resolving challenges effectively
  • Willingness to travel (with some overnight)
  • Proficiency in using Office tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software like Salesforce, will facilitate effective communication, data analysis, and reporting
  • Valid driver’s license & passport
Compensation information:

The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $71,600 to $111,900. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. Please note that the base pay shown qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
