Job description

WHO WE ARE

When it comes to health, we’re always looking for ways to push for better. It’s why we were founded in the first place. In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to pay for her sick daughter’s prescription. He knew there had to be a better way. So, he introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and GreenShield was born as a not-for-profit with a mission to support better health for all Canadians.

We aren’t just a health and benefits company. We’re the only not-for-profit social enterprise that brings worlds of coverage and care together, all in one place. We’re noble challengers, purposefully building a better way, and we need the best people to help us create a more holistic approach that takes care of the mind and body.

Our mission is to create better health for all Canadians, and we know that starts with our employees.

As a part of the GreenShield group of companies, GreenShield Administration provides innovative health benefit solutions for small to mid-sized companies in Canada. Recognized as a leading alternative to traditional insurance companies, we serve an underserved market segment by leveraging technology, creative product development, and a stellar customer experience. Honeybee Benefits is our next-generation benefits platform designed for today’s modern workforce, empowering employers to attract and retain talent.

The Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with advisors and clients by effectively managing, servicing, and retaining an assigned block of group client accounts. The role involves acting as an advocate for GreenShield and delivering high-level customer satisfaction.

The role in a nutshell
  • Be the primary point of contact and build relationships with clients and their advisors
  • Provide excellent customer service through various channels
  • Ensure the timely delivery of solutions based on client needs
  • Maintain client satisfaction and deliver exceptional service daily
  • Monitor and analyze client usage of products
  • Coordinate between clients and internal teams
  • Schedule meetings for renewals and plan design discussions
  • Travel to meet clients as needed
  • Support Plan Administrators and Advisors ongoing
  • Promote Group Products and GreenShield services
  • Analyze monthly financial reports to manage group performance
  • Prepare and implement plan design changes
  • Clarify administrative procedures, contractual terms, and product features
What we are looking for
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Group Benefits/Insurance eligibility (asset)
  • GBA designation or working towards it (asset)
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma
