Opportunity for an experienced equipment finance specialist with a passion for sales, proven background in new business development, relationship management, and credit underwriting, to join a leading and respected financial institution. You will be responsible for managing and growing the book of business across Ontario, with a focus on manufacturers and users of heavy construction and industrial equipment. As an experienced member of the team, your main responsibilities will include achieving sales and growth targets by building and developing strong relationships with vendors and corporate clients, while ensuring compliance with the organization's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and vendors within the construction and industrial equipment sectors
  • Demonstrate a competitive edge critical to finding target customers (vendor and direct), building strong relationships, and winning deals
  • Understand clients and vendors' requirements and financial constraints to offer tailored financing solutions
  • Analyze client needs and financial solutions to design financing agreements that meet their specific needs
  • Assess the creditworthiness of clients and collaborate with underwriters to evaluate financing applications
  • Present credit proposals to internal credit committees for approval
  • Stay abreast of equipment finance and industry trends
  • Mentor team members in structured financing

Requirements :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the equipment finance and leasing industry
  • Deep understanding and established network within the construction and industrial equipment finance sectors
  • Strong sales personality with the ability to develop strategies within the assigned segment focus
  • Proven ability to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound leads
  • Customer Relationship Management skills
  • Ability to work closely with internal staff, processes, and tools to ensure success
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team
  • Action-oriented mindset
