The Account Manager owns the overall customer relationship and drives customer success across assigned accounts within the Discovery business unit at Cytiva. The main objective is to grow the business through an understanding of the market, an awareness and familiarity with the needs of the customer, and knowledge of the full range of Cytiva product portfolios.

This position reports to the Discovery Account Management Zone Leader and is part of the Commercial Sales team located in Western Canada, covering BC, AB and SK and will be fully remote.

What you will do:

  • Develop strong business relationships with customers, by earning trust and loyalty through providing Cytiva workflow solutions and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Attain or exceed the business objectives related to existing accounts: developing new accounts, succeeding in understanding assigned accounts, targeting market segments, and introducing new products and workflow solutions as directed by company goals and strategy.
  • Work with a Cytiva product sales specialist team in demonstrating the breadth and range of Cytiva capabilities. Be a product specialist within certain aspects of the Cytiva product line-primarily focusing on Research Consumables.
  • Build business strategies in assigned territory and partner with fellow Cytiva colleagues and distribution partners to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Be accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline & sales funnel using salesforce.com.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of successful commercial experience, including but not limited to sales, marketing, technical support, and field applications support within biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries in Life Sciences research or a combination of experience post-bachelor working experience in a Biotech, Pharma, or Academic lab.
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels. Proven account management and project planning skills.
  • High-level presentation skills: able to present complex ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact.
  • Self-motivated, a team player, and well-organized.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel outside of geographic territory (10-15% travel non-customer facing)
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment/supplies up to 25lbs

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • QlikSense or a CRM system like Salesforce.com

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
