The Account Manager, Acute Care is responsible for achieving annual sales targets at Draeger Medical, leveraging our solutions to improve acute care. As the primary contact between Dräger and our customers, your role involves building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance satisfaction in acute care settings.

The successful candidate must reside in the territory, ideally in Winnipeg or Regina.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent Dräger to the account at all levels, achieving territory targets; proactively sell products and solutions; manage relationships using CRM; understand and implement the strategic go-to-market approach; define decision makers; and promote Dräger’s hospital strategy.
  • Develop account business plans aligned with the 5-year medical plan, including short, medium, and long-term strategies; manage the installed base; plan deals using CRM and sales tools; analyze orders; monitor ROI on marketing actions; and understand decision-making structures.
  • Coordinate problem-solving issues for customers, including order confirmation, invoicing, delivery, training, and service requirements; facilitate documentation, demos, site visits, and order settlements.
  • Manage demonstrations and site setup in coordination with clinical or implementation specialists.
  • Communicate market trends to customers, update competitive information, report to marketing, and maintain CRM data.
  • Follow authorized discount levels as per decision matrix.
  • Drive recurring revenue in Digital and Lifecycle Solutions by meeting sales targets, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Education:

  • Nursing Degree, Respiratory Therapist Degree, Diploma, or relevant clinical background.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in sales.

Competencies/Certifications:

  • Proven success in sales; hospital sales experience preferred.
  • Effective communicator in English and French (preferred).
  • IT network knowledge is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and international travel documents.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a safety-sensitive position; post-employment drug/alcohol testing may be required.
  • Regional, national, and international travel up to 60% required.
