CPG Manufacturing
Vaughan, On - Hybrid Role

My client, a well-established and growing consumer goods company in the beauty and personal care industry, is seeking an Account Manager to support a Director of Sales in managing key North American retail accounts. This role is responsible for executing strategic sales plans across a mix of retail and distributor partners to drive revenue and profit growth for both existing and new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Sales Execution
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, buyers, and distributor partners.
  2. Support the joint business planning process by developing and executing strategies for profitable growth.
  3. Assist in preparing retail presentations and sales reports.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including order management, demand planning, finance, and marketing to achieve brand goals and maximize opportunities.
  5. Ensure demand plans are updated monthly and effectively communicated to key stakeholders.
Administrative & Retail Account Support
  1. Serve as the expert for each retailer portal, managing SKU creation and maintenance.
  2. Monitor and share key reports, including POS data and retail performance insights.
  3. Track and support the analysis of trade spend, markdown planning, and deduction processes.
  4. Assist in executing promotional plans and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Key Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
  2. 4+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Merchandising, or Category Management within the CPG industry.
  3. Strong strategic thinking skills to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  5. High sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership of processes.
  6. Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze sales and market data.
  7. Confident public speaking and presentation skills.
  8. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  9. Experience with A.C. Nielsen, IRI, or equivalent market data tools to analyze trends and performance.
