What will your typical day look like?

As an Account Manager in J-Squared’s Industrial & Energy Markets team, you will be responsible for driving sales and account activity for J-Squared’s product offerings. This includes managing the existing customer base while growing the business into new customers and markets. You will work with a cross-functional team, including customer service, technical support, and engineering to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include :

1. Sales Planning and Growth.

  • Developing sales strategies to increase business / sales revenue and design wins.
  • Identify potential customers to generate new business opportunities as well as grow existing business.

2. Account and Stakeholder Management :

  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
  • Building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for sales-related communications and inquiries while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Negotiating sales, strategizing key opportunities, and driving revenue.
  • 3. Management and Execution :

  • Forecasting and tracking key account metrics.
  • Summarizing and communicating key results and activities to leadership.
  • Actioning next steps and tasks in a timely fashion with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (such as customer service and technical support) to facilitate customer needs.
  • 4. Technical Expertise :

  • Possess a strong understanding of hardware, software and systems.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.

    For a candidate to be successful in this role, the key qualifications include :

  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in a technical field
  • 3+ years’ experience in industrial computing and / or automation solutions and systems either in a sales or technical role
  • Experience working with customers in oil and gas, energy and resources, and industrial end markets or in adjacent industries such as : mining, construction, agriculture, transportation or rail
  • Proficient in building and fostering strong customer relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within a customer account
  • Proficient with basic office computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Google Suite)
  • Additionally, we are looking for someone who exhibits the following :

  • Highly motivated and energetic
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability
  • Excellent team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Valid driver’s license
