What’s the role?
Our account managers serve as the go-to contact for our customers, embodying our purpose to make construction better by being their partner for productivity, safety, and sustainability. You will manage your own portfolio of customer accounts and be given ownership to build a work schedule that best suits you and your customers. You’ll drive sales by maintaining customer relationships, demonstrating our latest tools on the spot, and providing high‑level customer consultation.

What does the role involve?
- Building relationships – meet with customers on short notice or be actively present to capture opportunities. Create value in accounts through long‑term, profitable relationships.
- Time and Territory Management (TTM) – create a daily schedule (including presence on jobsites and client offices) to optimize client potential and sales productivity by zone/territory.
- Be a Hilti Champion – carry technical knowledge to present high‑level customer consultations in your defined territory and represent the Hilti brand in the marketplace.
- Tracking your progress – use Salesforce to record interactions and sales activity; reporting is a key part of this role.

What you need
- At least three years of outside sales experience – preferably with targets
- Willingness to travel internationally for initial training; travel visa requirements are the applicant’s responsibility
- High School diploma or GED required (Canadian CAED); Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Hands‑on attitude – demonstrate tools to customers, use platforms such as Salesforce to track activity, collaborate with various departments
- Maintain a valid driver’s license – company car provided
- Excellent time and territory management skills
- Ability to walk on construction sites, climb scaffolding, and lift up to 65 pounds

Working conditions
This role is field‑based and requires daily in‑person interaction with customers, with a home office as your base. Expect a combination of home office work, meetings, driving a company vehicle to customer offices, and jobsite visits. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Adverse working conditions
- Walking on construction sites and uneven surfaces; may involve climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs in all seasons
- Exposure to loud noises on worksites; ear protection is strongly encouraged or required on some sites
Safety equipment required
- Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toe boots, long pants; follow all Hilti/OSHA/contractor safety regulations
Physical requirements
- Walk on construction projects, climb ladders and scaffolding, and lift/carry as needed
