Overview

Our preferred Account Manager candidate will have experience crafting and executing both traditional PR and influencer programs. We’re looking for a passionate team player who is strategic, creative and an analytical thinker who can create cross-channel strategies for our clients. Our ideal candidate will be a curious, creative individual with a desire to learn and grow.


Responsibilities

  1. Develop and support PR and influencer communication deliverables to meet client objectives, while acting as project lead under senior leaders on campaigns.
  2. Strategic and creative thinker to support the development of innovative campaign plans and execution, often spanning PR, influencer; at times, with some social/digital integration.
  3. Actively pitch media contacts (written and verbal outreach); strong relationships with media is required (across broad consumer, lifestyle and business beats; broadcast, digital, print, etc.).
  4. Oversee fully integrated communications including PR and influencer campaigns for existing and new clients.
  5. Build strong relationships with day-to-day client leads, developing trust and delivering excellence.
  6. Ability to work confidently in integrated agency team (IAT) structures, coordinating with media, experiential, creative, etc. and other agency partners as required.
  7. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills are required; demonstrated ability to draft and edit materials including editorial pieces, media advisories, press releases, pitches, fact sheets, speeches, briefing books, influencer workbooks, messaging, content and copy, etc.
  8. Curate and develop targeted, thoughtful influencer and media outreach lists, based on strong research, rationale and metrics and help guide junior teams in this process.
  9. Build strategic influencer programs including partner selection, vetting, outreach, negotiation and contracts, creative briefing/reviews/edits, paid media integration and analytics/reporting, Have strong knowledge of the influencer marketing space, key players and industry changes leveraging our in-house platform (powered by CreatoriQ).
  10. Client experience in Retail, CPG, or Consumer brands are considered an asset.
  11. Effective at collaboratively managing up, providing timely updates to leaders on progress against goals.
  12. Act as project manager, including building and tracking project budgets, timelines and deliverables.
  13. Ability to work in a collaborative, innovative & fast-paced environment.
  14. Ongoing tracking and knowledge of industry & brand best practices, current news and trending cultural moments, proactively sharing with agency and clients to inform strategies.
  15. Contribute to a positive culture of collaboration and team development, acting as project manager, coach and mentor for junior team members.

Qualifications

  1. Very strong in client and account management, agency experience is an asset.
  2. Experience developing targeted consumer PR/influencer programs designed to meet and exceed client expectations and set KPIs.
  3. Familiarity with various PR/influencer tools such as Meltwater, MRP, Cision, Tagger, DoveTail, CreatoriQ, etc.
  4. Experience running influencer campaigns across key platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Linkedin, etc.
  5. Detail-oriented, producing high quality error-free work and reviewing junior team deliverables to the same standards.
  6. Established relationships with Canadian media and influencers, and deep understanding of the PR/influencer landscape locally.
  7. Participating in some forecasting and managing project budgets; focus on supporting senior leaders in organic growth of existing client base.
  8. Proficiency in insight gathering and analytics; ability to implement an effective reporting strategy on the metrics that matter to measure campaign performance and make suggestions on how to improve/optimize.
  9. Strong writing, and trusted proofreader and editor with the ability to support junior team members in this area.
  10. Event / experiential skills an asset.
  11. Ongoing tracking and implementation of industry & brand best practices, and current events that could impact clients.
  12. Understanding of social / digital strategy is an asset.
  13. Strong project management experience, with the ability to coach, develop and oversee junior team members supporting campaigns.
  14. Ability to foster strong relationships with Integrated Agency Team partners.
