Account Manager

Sales Away from Home - Food Service

Permanent, Full-Time, Calgary, Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office

Overview

The Food Service (FS) division of KDP is recruiting a new team member. Reporting to the Sr Manager for Canada, the successful candidate will manage an existing customer base and identify new opportunities in the non-commercial space. They will be responsible for forecasting, promotions, and brand growth within the segment. Industry knowledge, especially in soft drinks, and account management skills are essential for success.

This individual must possess good communication skills to engage with various management levels both internally and externally. Strong influencing skills and execution capabilities are required. Sharing ideas and demonstrating passion and expertise in the beverage industry segment will be highly valuable.

Day to Day Tasks

  • Manage non-commercial accounts within Foodservice, achieving revenue, profit, and volume targets across our brands.
  • Lead soft drink expansion and development in Western regions.
  • Manage regional accounts for BC/Prairies.
  • Develop customer business plans with key strategies for growth and present them to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the Sr Manager of Canadian Sales to develop and execute detailed business plans by account.
  • Handle product listings at accounts, working with RGM, Marketing, and Omni teams on pricing and marketing programs.
  • Manage and negotiate account-level spend, including Brand Marketing funds, within budget.
  • Prepare business reviews for senior customers and KDP management.
  • Foster collaboration within the AFH team and other stakeholders at KDP.
  • Work closely with the Field Sales Broker model.

Responsibilities:

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in Food Service sales and account management.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Large Format Soft Drink segment.
  • Knowledge of the foodservice industry and customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment.
