Account Executive Transportation - Permanent

About Our Client

A leader in the Transportation industry is growing their Sales team. They are looking to add an Account Executive with a strong transportation background to their dynamic and results-driven team located in Montreal.

What You Will Be Doing, as an Account Executive Transportation:

The National Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue results primarily through new account acquisition and cementing long-term market partnerships through the deployment of value-based, tailored service solutions. As the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, have a keen business sense, and focus on “adding value” to the team, customer, and company; results driven and a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic client solutions
  • Identify leads and design solutions for clients within the designated region
  • Develop insights and set strategies that will translate into measurable value for clients
  • Increase sales revenue through new sales opportunities and organic growth of the core client base
  • Manage daily business requirements
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external clients
  • Develop solutions across business units
  • Resolve customer concerns that may arise
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

What You Should Have, as an Account Executive:
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, logistics, or supply chain
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a sales and/or selling role - must have Intermodal and Road experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Customer service skills including effectively and efficiently responding to customer inquiries
  • Identifying stated and unstated customer needs
  • Building relationships with customers, resolving conflicts or problems that might arise, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (French & English)
  • Ability to conduct presentations
  • Ability to gather information and manage time effectively
  • Ability to build and execute strategic visions and creative solutions
  • Valid driver’s license as travel to client locations may be required
