Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive (AE) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a sales professional within the LIMS, healthcare diagnostics, clinical, or commercial lab space who is eager to own a territory and drive revenue growth. You will play a crucial role in both prospecting and closing deals, working closely with our Sales and Marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a sales territory, generating and qualifying leads while also closing deals.
  • Create a strong first impression with prospective customers and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated leads (MQLs) through calls and emails to assess scientific fit and potential business opportunities.
  • Research and identify key decision-makers at target companies using prospecting tools.
  • Develop tailored outreach strategies for different accounts and personas.
  • Drive outbound prospecting efforts, including cold calling and personalized email campaigns.
  • Support Scispot’s field marketing initiatives by driving attendance at company events, executive meetups, and networking gatherings.
  • Represent Scispot at industry conferences and trade shows, engaging with potential customers and following up on leads.
  • Maintain accurate lead tracking, categorization, and performance measurement in Salesforce.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, tech, and implementation, to ensure customer success and long-term engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in LIMS, ELN, Lab Automation, healthcare diagnostics, clinical, or commercial lab industries.
  • Experience selling cloud-based solutions in the life science space.
  • Ability to work independently with ownership of a territory.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage scientists, researchers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to proactively cold call and reach out to new prospects.
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • A track record of meeting/exceeding targets and demonstrating high levels of achievement.
  • Highly organized with a methodical approach to sales prospecting and lead qualification.
  • Experience with international selling is a plus.
