What We’re Looking For

The Account Executive focuses on building strong client relationships and proactively identifying new business opportunities. You will develop tailored insurance solutions for businesses of all sizes. This role is based at our Burnaby Still Creek head office, conveniently accessible via Gilmore SkyTrain station, with nearby shops and restaurants.

Responsibilities

  1. Recognize and actively pursue new business opportunities
  2. Conduct market research on prospects
  3. Remain current on business issues pertaining to prospects
  4. Network and follow up on leads
  5. Generate new business revenue by selling insurance coverage
  6. Manage pipeline of candidates using the CORE system
  7. Maintain existing book of business
  8. Provide high standards of client service
  9. Be flexible to client needs and stay up-to-date on coverage options
  10. Proactively meet client needs and attend meetings in the Coastal trading area
  11. Participate in industry and company events
  12. Engage in ongoing professional development
  13. Perform other duties as required

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Commercial Insurance experience
  • Proven sales and account management skills
  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • Industry certifications such as CAIB, CIP, CRM preferred
