About The Role

Are you a relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on creating new opportunities, building partnerships, and delivering results?

As the Account Executive, Business Development, you will play a key role in attracting and securing meetings, conventions, conferences, and other business events that contribute to Richmond's visitor economy. You will cultivate strong relationships with meeting planners, travel managers, associations, Indigenous organizations, and industry partners, while managing opportunities from initial prospecting through to successful business conversion. As a trusted ambassador for Tourism Richmond, you will represent the organization at trade shows, sales missions, conferences, client meetings, and industry events, helping to grow Richmond's visibility and reputation in key markets.

This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys combining strategic business development with hands-on relationship management. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, sound judgement, exceptional organization, a collaborative approach to teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering an outstanding client experience.

This is a permanent full-time hybrid position that requires in-office work at least three days per week. The role includes regional, national, and occasional international travel and may require evening and weekend work associated with events and industry activities. The salary range is $65,000 - $75,000 along with a robust RRSP matching program and a comprehensive benefits package.
