Overview

Join to apply for the Account Executive role at Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial

Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager, this Account Executive position is part of Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial (SIG) Geospatial business unit in North America. The candidate will be responsible for selling geospatial software solutions to new and existing Government of Canada accounts, including Department of National Defence (DND) and civilian departments and agencies. Solutions include GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, data management, 3D / 4D visualization, and digital twin. The role requires a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach to address the unique needs of each client.

Responsibilities
  • Pipeline generation: Proactively generate new opportunities in new and existing accounts through networking, targeted outreach, and attending industry events.
  • Solution alignment: Understand clients\' current state, expected outcomes, and requirements. Collaborate with clients to align our solutions with their needs and articulate the value of our products.
  • Sales process: Create territory plans, account and opportunity strategies, and manage these through a structured sales process to ensuring timely closure of deals and client satisfaction. Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
  • Relationship building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, customers and key stakeholders.
  • Continuous learning: Stay up to date on industry trends, product developments, and competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to define and execute account and opportunity strategies to close deals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in geography, geomatics, earth sciences, business or related field
  • 5+ years enterprise sales experience selling to Defence industry and federal government
  • Demonstrated skills in territory management, account management, prospecting, presentations, opportunity strategy creation, negotiation, and closing
  • Domain knowledge of Canada\u2019s defence and federal industry preferred
  • Understanding of geospatial technologies and how they relate to national defence
  • Experience managing the sales lifecycle
  • English, with fluency in French a plus
  • Travel up to 50% required
