Job description

The Account Executive (Calgary area) directly sells enterprise software solutions across the breadth of the company’s products and drives incremental license and subscription revenue. This role develops and owns the relationship within assigned accounts/territory and maximizes Informatica’s footprint within them. Incumbents effectively collaborate with other teams, including pre-sales, professional services, marketing, channel management, finance, and customer support, as well as external parties such as Alliances and Channel Partners. This is a field sales position where extensive travel to the customer’s location is regularly expected and key to the role’s success. Travel may exceed 50%, depending on business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Expand sales within existing and new accounts while building relationships with key decision makers.
  2. Develop and execute strategic business plans for each account, identifying customer requirements and mapping Informatica’s solutions to their business needs.
  3. Ensure timely documentation of customer contact and activity data in CRM/Marketing software (e.g., contact details, opportunity value, product info, sales stages, business pain points, commitments).
  4. Maintain accurate forecasting, deliver quarterly revenue targets, and implement account/business plans.
  5. Collaborate with Marketing to plan events, seminars, and roadmap sessions for accounts.
  6. Promote Informatica’s products, enhance brand recognition, and publicize success stories.
  7. Provide customer feedback for product, system, and process improvements.
  8. Possess expert-level knowledge of selling the company's products and services.
  9. Manage larger, more complex accounts with higher quotas, often involving interaction with CXO-level decision makers.

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert-level experience using professional concepts to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
  • Deep industry knowledge and understanding of customer decision-making, goals, and strategies.
  • Expert presentation, customer service, financial acumen, and negotiation skills at all engagement levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business and technical contexts of key accounts.
  • Self-motivated leader who drives account success and inspires team collaboration.
  • Proficient in consultative selling, establishing trust with clients and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of hybrid deployment solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and Business Intelligence concepts and products.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
