We’re looking for an Account Director, Social Media to join our growing team—someone with the strategic savvy and social fluency to lead one of Canada’s largest automotive brands through a rapidly evolving content landscape.

The Role :

As Account Director, Social Media, you’ll be the lead client partner and internal champion for all things social on the Hyundai Canada business. You’ll work closely with social strategists, creatives, media teams, and platform partners to develop and deliver best-in-class content, influencer, creator, and paid social programs. This is a high-visibility role ideal for a seasoned digital thinker with a proven track record in social-first, performance-minded campaigns.

What your typical day will look like :

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for Hyundai Canada’s social business across all platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Build strong client relationships by providing thought leadership, proactive strategic counsel, and platform guidance
  • Lead annual and campaign-based social planning, collaborating closely with brand, creative, media, and production teamsStrategy & Creative Collaboration
  • Translate Hyundai’s brand and product strategies into compelling social-first programs that build engagement and drive consideration
  • Guide always-on content calendars, product launches, influencer campaigns, and social extensions of integrated brand initiatives
  • Partner with creatives to deliver content that’s culturally relevant, creatively bold, and platformnativePerformance & Optimization
  • Work with analytics and media teams to monitor performance, identify insights, and optimize content and spend
  • Ensure social KPIs ladder up to broader business objectives and report results in a compelling, client-facing format
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, features, and tools—and identify how Hyundai can lead in the spaceTeam Leadership & Operations
  • Oversee timelines, scopes, budgets, approvals, and resource planning to ensure flawless delivery
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between internal departments and client-side teams

What you bring :

  • 7–10 years in an integrated or digital agency environment, with at least 3+ years focused specifically on social media
  • Deep understanding of paid, earned, and owned social ecosystems
  • Experience with high-profile, national brands—automotive experience a major asset
  • Strong client relationship skills and a confident presence in rooms with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset, with familiarity in tools like Meta Business Manager, Sprout, and Google Analytics
  • Passion for platform innovation, content culture, and how data informs creativity
