  • Draft and edit communications materials, including news releases, backgrounders, key messages, executive speeches, Q&As and stakeholder content
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, media environment, and industry landscape
  • Identify communications risks and opportunities, and shape strategies accordingly
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver polished, on-brand work
  • Guide team planning, project timelines, and approvals
  • Monitor media and social media coverage, and lead reporting
  • Support, supervise and mentor junior team members

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of corporate or agency communications experience
  • Proven experience as a client and team lead, with strong project and relationship management skills
  • Strategic thinker with excellent judgment, adaptable in fast-moving situations
  • Strong writing and editing skills across formats and platforms
  • Comfortable navigating reputational issues and providing high-level counsel
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, organized and confident working across priorities and deadlines
  • Post-secondary education in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field
