Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our team, specializing in cleaning and sanitizing solutions for the food and beverage industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, providing expert advice and hands-on support for sanitation processes, and offering tailored solutions to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:

Under the Director of Sales of Western Canada you will have to:

Sales Tasks:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market presence in food plant sanitation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food and beverage sector.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

Support Tasks:

  • Assess customer sanitation needs and recommend the best cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
  • Provide technical support on the proper use of cleaning & disinfecting sanitizing products and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot cleaning and hygiene issues to help clients comply with food safety regulations.
  • Conduct on-site training for client staff on hygiene best practices and product applications.
  • Ensure clients meet food safety regulations (HACCP, FSMA, GMP, SQF, etc.).
  • Work with clients to develop customized cleaning and sanitation protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of cleaning and dosing systems.
  • Recommend process improvements to optimize sanitation efficiency and cost savings.
  • Provide clients with regular business reviews and performance reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, technical, R&D) to deliver tailored solutions.


Requirements:

To perform, you need to :

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Health, or related field experience in food plant sanitation
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry (sanitation, quality assurance, or technical sales preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning & sanitizing chemicals, food safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
  • Ability to work on a flexible work schedule
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
  • Sales or account management experience in the food and beverage sector.
  • Familiarity with automated cleaning systems, CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes, and sanitation audits.
