About The Role

Monks is seeking a strategic and client-focused Account Director, Social to lead an exciting social media account for a major global tech brand. In this role, you will craft and execute innovative social-first campaigns that leverage cutting-edge platform capabilities to maximize impact, engagement, and ROI.

You will serve as the key strategic partner, guiding the team to develop creative social strategies, lead seamless campaign execution, and foster strong client relationships—all while ensuring that solutions align with a leading technology brand’s ambitious goals and innovative spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Client Partnership : Act as the primary strategic point of contact, developing a deep understanding of the brand’s goals, audience, and positioning to craft tailored social media strategies.
  • Strategy & Innovation : Develop forward-thinking social campaigns leveraging the latest platform tools and formats, ensuring maximum reach, engagement, and performance.
  • Campaign Leadership : Oversee the planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of social media initiatives, ensuring they meet KPIs and are delivered on scope and schedule.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with creative, strategy, data, and production teams to deliver integrated campaigns that push creative boundaries and utilize the latest social tech and trends.
  • Trend & Platform Expertise : Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging social formats, advising on new features and innovative tactics to maintain leadership in social marketing.
  • Performance Analysis : Monitor and analyze campaign performance data, using insights to refine strategies and present results and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Business Growth & Upselling : Identify opportunities to expand scope, introduce new services, and deepen strategic partnership value.
  • Thought Leadership : Position the agency as a leader in social storytelling, innovation, and platform mastery through industry insights and thought leadership.

About You

The essentials :

  • Experience : 8+ years in digital and social media, (integrated marketing a plus), with a proven track record managing multi-faceted, large-scale accounts and clients
  • Additionally, complex social-first production experience is required.
  • Client-First & Strategic : Excellent relationship-building skills with a consultative approach to understanding needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Innovative & Curious : Passionate about social media evolution, emerging formats, and storytelling that pushes creative boundaries.
  • Leadership & Mentorship : Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, nurturing creativity and excellence.
  • Data & Analytical Skills : Strong ability to interpret data, derive insights, and communicate performance results clearly.
  • Confident presenter with the ability to articulate complex strategies to executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to discern client needs and clearly communicate a brief to the broader team.
  • Resourceful & Detail-Oriented : Solution oriented and proactive in identifying potential mismatches or errors, with a curiosity to deeply understand brand positioning, product features, and social storytelling nuances.
  • Fast Learner & Adaptable : Thrives in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and last-minute changes with professionalism.

What We Offer

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range$100,000—$115,000 CAD
