Job description

As the designated leader, you are able to help generate ideas based on insights and your knowledge of your client’s needs and the marketplace. You translate ideas into fully defined programs, working directly with and delegating projects to others on your team. You build relationships that facilitate the ability to sell remarkable work. You know how to manage assignments creatively and effectively, making the best use of resources within and outside the agency. You are the day-to-day lead person on the account and a key point of contact for the client. Your job carries significant financial responsibilities. You actively maintain and grow strong mid and senior-level client relationships.

Accountabilities:
  1. Accountable for outputs and the development of account supervisors for assigned group of client(s) to improve campaign process to achieve client goals.
  2. Instils a high-performance, data-driven, continuous improvement culture within a shared service organization.
  3. Coaches team to develop planning strategies that maximize creative and media performance.
  4. Leads the strategic positioning, segmentation initiatives and holistic program planning and communications idea generation/execution.
  5. Grows the sophistication of the team’s advertising knowledge, including emerging data and technology.
  6. Identifies development areas in team members to help achieve and drive their performance goals for the year.
  7. Supports the media buying teams throughout the campaign activation process to maintain performance and resolve any campaign-related issues.
  8. Facilitates the implementation of quality control processes and systems across client groups.
  9. Briefs partner agencies on strategic implementation needs and roles of specific communication channels; uses specific examples that relate to your brands, retail environments, and competitive set with real or estimated metrics for success to help clients and other partner agencies understand how the communications strategy comes to life.
  10. Prepares reporting documentation for clients demonstrating the strategy and rationale executed to deliver on campaign goals.
  11. Drives employee retention by providing feedback to the Leadership and HR team to help retain top talent in Canada.
Qualifications:
  1. Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of media planning experience focused on Digital and Social Media Channels and a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a team.
  3. Influential senior people leader with the ability to lead, coach, develop, and retain top talent while addressing performance.
  4. Knowledge of bid management, campaign management, and optimization process with key Data, Supply, and DSP partners.
  5. Previous experience supporting new business efforts at the Network or brand level.
  6. Ability to instill confidence and manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Advanced analytical skills and proficient with numbers and budgets to illustrate client business objectives.
  8. Strong negotiation, presentation, and people skills.
  9. Advanced level MS Office skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  10. Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Additional Information:

The salary range for this position is $95k-$100k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
