Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Account Development Representative, General Medicine, focusing on Ottawa. You will call on key specialists and allied health professionals to expand the clinical use of Amgen products in the territory.

You’ll work to achieve monthly sales objectives, develop territory business plans, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver branded messages and programs. A Bachelor’s degree and Ottawa-based residency are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Contact physicians (specialists and family practice) and other Healthcare Professionals to develop business in the territory.
  • Achievement of monthly sales objectives and maximum market share vs. competitive product(s).
  • Writing and implementing territory business plans and creating innovative programs; build competitive advantage for Amgen.
  • Respond to customer needs and maintain high quality service; manage reimbursement issues and support fulfillment.
  • Work closely with internal partners (MSL, Marketing Patient Access Navigator, Key Accounts).
  • Carry out marketing strategies, including delivering branded sales messages.
  • Handle logistics for Amgen sponsored rounds; run in-services and education initiatives.
  • Required administration including territory analysis and call reporting in Amgen systems.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategies and field effectiveness.
  • Adhere to pharmacovigilance policies for AE and PC reporting.

Account Development Representative, General Medicine (Ottawa, Kingston, Atlantic)
Location - Ottawa

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be calling on key specialists and accounts, as well as allied health professionals for Inflammation Biosimilars.

Key Accountabilities/Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Contacting physicians (both specialists and family practice) and other Healthcare Professionals (eg. Nurses, Pharmacists) to develop business and expand the clinical use of applicable Amgen product(s) in the territory.
  • Achievement of monthly sales objectives and maximum market share vs. competitive product(s)
  • Writing and implementing territory business plans and create/develop innovative programs and build competitive advantage for Amgen within key accounts.
  • Respond to customer needs and maintain a high quality of service via knowledge of the applicable therapeutic areas, appropriate management of patients, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and supporting fulfillment
  • Work closely with internal partners (MSL, Marketing Patient Access Navigator, Key Accounts)
  • Carry out marketing strategies, including delivering branded sales messages
  • Handle any logistics pertaining to Amgen sponsored rounds; implement in-services and continuing health education initiatives (National/Regional Speaker Tours) with programs
  • Required administration including territory analysis and call reporting in Amgen system(s)
  • Providing feedback on marketing strategies and effectiveness in the field
  • Adhere to Amgen pharmacovigilance policies for reporting Adverse Events (AE) and Product Complaints (PC)

The salary for this position in Canada is $108,290 - $146,510 CAD.
