Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a Sales Development Role (or similar), preferably in software.
  • Demonstrated experience in outbound email prospecting (cold call, emails, LinkedIn).
  • Evidence of driving qualified growth in the top side of the funnel.

The industry faces this issue because of the complexity of processes, organizational factors, and the pace of work and transactions. Supply chain issues, labour shortages, high inflation and energy costs are compounding these losses. PayShepherd solves this problem for heavy industry (i.e. mining, shipbuilding, forest products, pharmaceuticals, steel, chemicals, manufacturing, energy… etc) with advanced software for Vendor Relationship Management (VRM).

The Opportunity

As we continue to expand and disrupt the market, we are seeking a highly-skilled, creative Account Development Representative to join our growing Go-To-Market team. This role presents a unique opportunity to help build a state-of-the-art product that will make its mark in the procurement world. Reporting to the Manager, Pipeline, you will be part of a collaborative team playing a key role in shaping PayShepherd’s success. Your Responsibilities will include

  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation
  • New research to identify prospects for initial outreach
  • Work on existing prospect database for initial outreach
  • Meet or exceed daily output expectations for outreach via cold calls, email, LinkedIn etc.
  • Engage in the initial call / meeting with a prospect, qualify and document meeting for handoff to an account executive
  • Leverage existing company content and sales materials to drive interest from a prospect
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of documented follow-up with prospects
  • Maintain a clean, reliable and reportable pipeline of prospects in HubSpot
  • After 1 month on the team, we ask that you prepare and present learnings and recommendations for strategy adjustments for greater results
  • Become a subject matter expert with our sales tools

Requirements

  • 1+ years in a Sales Development Role (or similar), preferably in software
  • Heavy industry experience is an asset but not required
  • Evidence of driving qualified growth in the top side of the funnel
  • Demonstrated experience in outbound email prospecting (cold call, emails, LinkedIn, network)
  • Persuasive communication, storytelling
  • Experience with HubSpot an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect via LinkedIn Sales Navigator, trade associations and other meaningful sources
