Accident Benefits (A/B) Coordinator

Ready to make your mark as an A/B Coordinator? Our Client, a top-tier personal injury firm, is looking for a skilled and personable professional to collaborate closely with an experienced AB Clerk. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to apply their expertise in LAT proceedings, OCF forms, and SABS processes. With three months of in-office training (5 days per week) transitioning to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office), this position offers the perfect balance of structure and flexibility.Apply now!

Salary: Up to $65K

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing Motor Vehicle Accident claims and establishing eligibility for benefits in accordance with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)
  • Communicating with insurance companies to ensure clients receive benefits as entitled under SABS
  • Proficiency in handling SABS and OCF forms
  • Drafting License Appeal Tribunal (LAT) Applications
  • Preparing and drafting correspondence to defense counsel, insurance companies, medical institutions, and clients
  • Reviewing and updating medical documentation and other file contents
  • Overall daily file maintenance

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Accident Benefits experience in a law firm
  • LAT experience and knowledge of all OCF forms
  • Experience with CAT files and fatalities is an asset
  • Legal Assistant diploma
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent technical skills (including MS Office, Time Matters, PC Law, ACL, and Primafact)
