• Drivers are provided with a company vehicle and a company-paid smartphone, with all expenses including insurance, maintenance, and gas during business use covered. Vehicles are late-model sedans, minivans, and wheelchair-accessible vans.
• Drivers are paid door-to-door, which includes all travel and wait time to/from passenger trips.

• Transport passengers in wheelchair-accessible side-loading vans, minivans, or sedans to pre-approved destinations safely by following all road safety rules.
• Typically work Monday to Friday, up to 11 hours/day, with a maximum of 14 hours/day. A typical week could be up to 40 hours ($688/week), or up to 60 hours ($1032/week).
• Weekend trips are available on a voluntary basis for additional hours. Drivers must be comfortable driving during hours past dusk.
• Focus on providing safe, calm, and reliable transportation using customer service, communication, and defensive driving skills.
• Assist passengers with their needs, including carrying luggage, helping in and out of the vehicle, and securing seat belts.
• Communicate in real-time with the Dispatch Department and navigate within our company systems daily.

Position Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of driving experience with a valid G Driver’s License. Ability to provide a driver's abstract in good standing.
• Good overall physical health; ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required by passengers. Medical note required.
• Preferably a non-smoker due to transporting individuals with medical conditions impacted by scents.
• Ability to wear a protective mask and work with sanitizing products, especially during infectious disease pandemics.
• Ability to provide a current police check, including a vulnerable sector search, upon joining and as requested.
• Valid CPR Certificate; the company will pay for renewal during active employment.
• Ability to drive for long periods depending on trip requirements.
• Comfortably operate an Android smartphone and follow a GPS system.
• Strong knowledge of the regional geographic area and the Greater Toronto Area.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to assess if a passenger has physical limitations requiring additional support and provide assistance.
• Private location to safely store the company-provided vehicle when not on duty.
