Job description

Meaningful work you’ll be a part of

As an Acceleration Centre, Financial Crime Unit Analyst, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to address business issues, deliver excellent client service, and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Gathering market intelligence and data to understand the nature of business, ownership, and group structure of various financial institutions.
  2. Conducting research on key personnel and their organizational connections.
  3. Summarizing findings in designated systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Communicating key findings with cross-functional stakeholders.
  5. Providing deliverables in accordance with FCOC Procedural Guidelines within set timelines and tracking progress as required.
  6. Developing team members through informal coaching and feedback.
  7. Understanding the process workflow from initiation to completion, including management within the firm's workflow tools.
  8. Participating in training and developmental opportunities.
Experience and skills you’ll use to solve
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, fraud domains, AML, KYC, transaction monitoring, or triage work is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel functions like VLOOKUP, text, reference, and logical functions.
  • Technical aptitude for learning new applications and databases such as World-Check and Bankers Almanac.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage expectations.
  • High attention to detail, inquisitiveness, and the ability to deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation, responsibility for personal growth, and a proactive attitude.
  • Teamwork and ability to build solid relationships, seeking guidance and feedback proactively.
  • College diploma; a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is preferred.
