Job summary

EF Language Abroad is seeking dynamic part-time ESL substitute teachers to join our education team on a campus, in-person and not remote. You will teach classes of 15–17 students using EF’s in-house curriculum and provide engaging, interactive lessons with ongoing training.

Compensation ranges from $30.29 to $34.75 per hour, with opportunities for continued professional development and classroom impact in Toronto, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• TESOL/TESOL certificate such as CELTA, DELTA, TESOL.
• 3 months of ESL classroom experience with 15+ students (preferred).
• Enthusiastic, energetic and a natural classroom leader.

Job description

EF Language Abroad is looking for dynamic, interactive, and energetic teachers to join our education team and are recruiting part-time ESL substitute teachers. Please note this position requires in-personteaching at our campus and not remote teaching. We are hiring for substitute positions. Curriculum, supplemental resources, and both initial and ongoing training are provided. EF provides ongoing professional development to our instructors in the field of English language teaching.

The Role

Teach classes of 15-17 students of varying English proficiency from all over the world utilizing EF’s cutting edge in-house curriculum and methodology to lead interactive and hands-on classes. As a substitute teacher, you will step into classes as needed, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment while ensuring continuity of instruction. Add your own “sparkle” to the lesson plans to bring them to life and ensure your students are learning as much as they are having fun. EF provides dedicated face-to-face training as well as online training to ensure that you are prepared for your role. Our Academic Team will support your professional development as well as provide you with guidance throughout your tenure at the school.

Compensation

Ranging from $30.29 to $34.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Enthusiastic, energetic and a natural leader in the classroom.

• 3 months of experience teaching ESL in a classroom setting with 15+ students(Preferred).
• Recognized TESL/TESOL certificate such as CELTA, DELTA, TESOL.
• Experience with standardized ESL exams, such as TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge a plus.
