Job description

EF Language Abroad is looking for dynamic, interactive, and energetic teachers to join our education team and are recruiting part-time ESL teachers.

Please note this position requires in-person teaching at our campus and not remote teaching. We are hiring for General English, Special Interest, and substitute positions. Curriculum, supplemental resources, and both initial and ongoing training are provided. EF offers ongoing professional development in the field of English language teaching.

Are you an ESL teacher looking to supplement your income in an international student environment, interacting with students of varying ages from over 40 countries?

Have you recently completed TESOL or CELTA training and want to apply your new skills while receiving developmental feedback from experienced ESL professionals?

Are you retired from full-time teaching but still eager to work with students and improve their English skills?

Do you have the ability to think quickly and connect with teenage and young adult learners using state-of-the-art teaching materials?

Have you taught English abroad and enjoyed engaging with students mastering another language while representing American culture?

The Role

Teach classes of 15-17 students of varying English proficiency using EF’s innovative curriculum and methodology. Bring your own energy to make lessons engaging and ensure students learn and have fun. EF provides face-to-face and online training to prepare you, along with ongoing support from our Academic Team for your professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and a natural leader in the classroom
• Responsible, approachable, and friendly
• Highly organized, flexible, and globally minded
• At least 3 months of ESL teaching experience with 15+ students (preferred)
• ESL or TEFL certification
• Additional consideration for candidates with CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or EFL training
• Experience with standardized ESL exams like TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge exams is a plus
