The Department of Surgery at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Contingent Term academic position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will balance clinical practice with a strong focus on education and medical student and resident teaching in Calgary, Alberta.

The appointment includes leadership in education, development of educational materials, and alignment with the Cumming School of Medicine’s 2025-2028 strategic plan.

Competenze

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Active FRCSC fellowship in a applicable surgical specialty.
• Eligibility for licensure in Alberta.
• Engagement in education and educational material development.

Mansioni

• Teach and supervise graduate medical education.
• Contribute to development and evaluation of educational materials and programs.
• Make major contributions to education programs and education leadership within the department and school.
• Clinical practice at Calgary hospitals (Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre, Rockyview General Hospital, South Health Campus, and Alberta Children’s Hospital).
