ACADEMIC RESPIROLOGIST
Department of Medicine, McMaster University

The Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences invite applications for an Academic Respirologist with a focus in the investigation and management of chronic cough and airways diseases. Preference will be given to candidates who will have completed two years of fellowship training in Respirology with further formal training in chronic cough with research experience being an asset to the position. The successful candidate will contribute to the Centre for Chronic Cough, holding specialized tertiary cough clinics as well as advanced airways clinics at McMaster University Health Centre and St Joseph’s Healthcare. They will also work closely with the Respirology Training Program to advance the educational profile of the program.

This is a full-time faculty position for a period of three years (renewable). Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be a full-time member of the Division of Respirology and will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Faculty and Division. The successful candidate should have appropriate fellowship training and will be expected to fully participate in all appropriate departmental and divisional educational activities.

Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.

A written description of training and research experience (two-page maximum) . Applicants are encouraged to describe any impact that career interruptions have had on research, academic, and/or clinical scholarly productivity, if applicable.
