Position Summary: Are you passionate about fostering a fair and inclusive academic environment? Join us as our new Academic Integrity and Equity Coordinator!

Reporting to the Faculty of Arts Associate Dean, Student Success, our Academic Integrity and Equity Coordinator will drive exciting initiatives, as well as provide support to the Faculty of Arts Academic Integrity and Equity Team. This position is pivotal in shaping a culture of academic excellence and equity at the University of Regina to ensure every student thrives.

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist in the management of the academic misconduct investigation process and caseload using an equity and trauma-informed lens;
  • Coordinate professional development and education initiatives to address upstream causes of academic misconduct;
  • Create, review, update, and oversee academic integrity resources;
  • Develop and implement educational and professional development programming regarding academic integrity and equity for students and instructors;
  • Maintain databases; compile and prepare reports and analyze data to provide recommendations to the Academic Integrity and Equity Team;
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders including students, staff, faculty and relevant offices and organizations;
  • Liaise with relevant offices and organizations around academic integrity topics, programs, and events;
  • Create content around academic integrity for websites, TV displays and digital channels;
  • Maintain a watching brief on academic integrity and equity news and wise practices within and outside the University of Regina;

Position Requirements

What You’ll Bring to this Position:
  • A Master’s degree or higher, preferably in an Arts discipline;
  • Minimum of two years of experience related to the duties outlined.
  • An equivalent combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered.
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
  • Knowledge of the Faculty of Arts and University of Regina policies, procedures and practices;
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply policies and procedures;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill of Microsoft 365 software including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Access, etc.;
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of complex databases such as Banner and Caspur reports;
  • Database and records management and/or maintenance skills;
  • Ability to make procedural decisions and judgements on sensitive, confidential issues;
  • Ability to research, compile data and prepare reports;
  • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage workload, maintain wellness, and model desired behaviour towards others;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Physical Demands

Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $64,796 - $87,436 annually Status Term Work Hours Monday – Friday 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Infrequent evening and/or weekend work may be required for special activities/events.
